What is Force Arm?
Force Arm is a functionality in security systems that allows users to bypass certain preconditions, such as open doors or windows, and activate the alarm system immediately. This feature is particularly useful in high-security situations where delays in system activation could pose risks.
For example, if a user needs to quickly secure their home or business but a door or window sensor remains open, the Force Arm function overrides the system’s usual requirements. Instead of waiting for all entry points to be secured or for a countdown timer to expire, the system is armed instantly.
Force Arm is commonly employed in both residential and commercial settings. It ensures that a property remains protected even when minor faults or exceptions in the system exist. Users are typically notified of any bypassed zones so they can address these issues later.
This feature is integral in emergency scenarios, where time is critical, such as securing a vacation rental property when leaving in a rush or a business location at closing time.
